The Simpsons (Bart, Homer, Lisa, Marge, etc.) have found a perfect match in Fremont’s quirkiness. The Fremont Oktoberfest has been chosen as the West coast host of the Simpsons’ 20th birthday party this fall. They say that the yearly drinking celebration “fits the show demographics ‘like a glove.’” ( I would argue it fits more like a plastic beer boot)

The show still holds the title as the longest-running prime time entertainment series, longest-running sitcom, and longest-running prime time animated show. To celebrate the bash they’ll be giving away free Simpsons commemorative glassware to everyone that shows up.

They’re also putting on a little competition to crown Seattle’s own “Stanta’s Little Helper” (the retired racing greyhound from the show). If you have a dog that resembles him, the look-a-like contest is on September 20th.

The Fremont Oktoberfest kicks off on September 18th and runs till the 20th.
