Happy Beer Day everyone!  The party is raging here at the OktoberfestHaus.com office.

International Beer Day originated in California as a way to celebrate the drinking of cold beer while the weather was still warm enough to appreciate a cold beer, unlike Oktoberfest when the weather has started to get colder.  While we at OktoberfestHaus think that “Oktober” weather is the perfect beer drinking weather, we always appreciate another excuse to drink a refreshing cold brew.

According to the official website, the purpose of International Beer Day is threefold:
1) To gather with friends and enjoy the deliciousness that is beer.
2) To celebrate the dedicated men and women who brew and serve our beer.
3) To bring the world together under the united banner of beer by celebrating the beers of all nations and cultures together on this one remarkable day.

In honor of this glorious day, we decided today would be the perfect time to test out our new Oktoberfest inventory.  On the schedule for today is a beer drinking competition using one of our newly arrived 2-liter boots.  After knocking back a couple of those we’ll be ready for a lederhosen and dirndl fashion show, accompanied by our new Oktoberfest Party Hats!  And what would a Beer Day celebration be without a tribute to the good ol’ United States of America?  After our long day of celebrations everyone in the office has to drink a round from this beautiful Liberty Bell Beer Stein before they can go home.
