Part 5 of our series on the ten best places to celebrate Oktoberfest in the U.S. continues with the Oktoberfest in Soulard, St. Louis:

St. Louis is, of course, the home of the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company, so they don’t mess around when it comes to beer.  From October 8-10, celebrate all things beer at St. Louis’s 7th annual festival.  This Oktoberfest is great because there are dozens of competitions you can compete in.  Win first place in the brat-eating contest, beer stein holding competition, beer drinking contests, and even German dirndl beauty pageants!  We at OktoberfestHaus.com heartily approve!  We have everything you need to get you prepared for the various competitions; if you go (and win!) make sure to tell us about it and send pictures–we’ll post them on the blog!
